Citation: The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Robert K. Haas, First Lieutenant, U.S. Army, for extraordinary heroism in action near Revillon, France, September 10, 1918. During the attack on Revillon, Lieutenant Haas voluntarily left his shelter and went across an open slope in full observation of the enemy and under heavy machine-gun fire to the aid of a wounded soldier, bringing him back to our lines for first-aid treatment.
