Citation: The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Aaron Yamin, Corporal, U.S. Army, for extraordinary heroism in action in the forest of Argonne, France, September 27, 1918. Corporal Yarnin displayed exceptional bravery by volunteering to cut a strip of enemy barbed-wire to make an opening for his company, which was, at that time, under heavy fire from artillery and machine-guns. In performing this mission this soldier received wounds from which he afterwards died.
